Our Mission

Communities need more than temporary programs.

They need the support to keep building.

For 15 years, we’ve seen what communities can create when they have access to technology and people who know how to teach it. We’ve also seen successful programs close because funding ended, leaving local leaders without the resources to continue.

Technology companies have tools and expertise. Communities have trusted relationships, lived experience, and knowledge of what their people need.

Neither can replace the other.

Our mission is to bring them together through learning that stays current, builds local teaching capacity, and supports a lasting exchange between communities and the companies developing their tools.

The Collimation Difference

Not a demo. A pathway.

Community leaders have already built the relationships that make learning meaningful. Collimation Education equips those leaders with the tools, resources, curriculum and educator expertise to deliver high-quality programs inside the communities they know best. We do not replace community leadership. We strengthen it.

01

Community leadership

We begin with a trusted organization or leader who already serves an active community.

02

Programs shaped locally

Together, we identify the community’s goals, strengths, barriers, culture and economic opportunities.

03

Learn through real work

Participants build projects, practice, collaborate, receive critique and demonstrate what they made.

04

Teaching capacity stays local

Community educators receive facilitator development, instructional tools, technical support and access to working practitioners.

Our approach

Liquid
Learning
Labs.

Learning that takes the shape of the community.

Company partners contribute technology, funding, and expertise. We turn those resources into practical programs with local community leaders and builders.

They support entrepreneurs, creators, educators, and people developing new workforce skills. The knowledge, work, and relationships they create can feed back into the next cycle.

Follow the cycle
  1. Company partners contribute technology, funding, and expertise.
  2. Collimation Education provides tools, curriculum, and educator support.
  3. Local communities and builders shape learning around their people and goals.
  4. Entrepreneurs, creators, educators, and workforce learners put the learning into practice.
  5. Community-created value returns through shared expertise, new technology, and reinvestment. Local needs and feedback guide the next round.

Collimation Education in the Field

Learn the technologies shaping the future by creating something that matters now.

The work centers adults building with AR, young people learning through computers, groups experiencing VR together, educators developing new skills, and communities learning by making.

Education in the Field

Build with those who are actually building.

From investor education and university programs to production rooms, public art, conferences, and community labs, participants learn alongside people doing the work now. The setting changes. The commitment to practical access stays the same.
